How Bueggio HR fixes it

A DPO reviewing a leave tool asks three questions: where is the data, what do you collect, and how do we delete it. Bueggio HR runs in Frankfurt, stores names, emails and absences and little else, and ships a GDPR panel with export and erasure built in, so the review is a short one.

EU hosting, full stop

Application, database and uploads run in Frankfurt. For a Dutch company with staff in Belgium and Spain, the transfer section of the data protection impact assessment is one line: no transfer outside the EU.

Data minimisation by design

A sick note attached to a request is encrypted at rest, visible only to the approver and admins, never copied into a notification or a payroll export, and gone for good when the person is erased.

Export and erasure, built in

An employee who left in March invokes the right to erasure in June: one click in the GDPR panel replaces their identity with an anonymous record, purges attachments and sessions, and keeps the anonymous leave statistics for your reports.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, no sales call.

Where exactly is our data stored?

In the European Union, in Frankfurt (Germany): application, database and uploads. It is never transferred outside the EU.

Do you sign a DPA?

Yes, a Data Processing Agreement is published and applies to every customer. Subprocessors are listed in it, and admins are notified by email before we ever add one.

How does the right to erasure work?

One click from the GDPR panel: the person's identity, notes, sessions and attachments (medical certificates included) are permanently purged, while anonymous leave statistics survive for your records. Each person can also download their own data from their profile.
