Yes, Bueggio HR is built for GDPR compliance from the architecture up: all data is hosted exclusively in European Union data centres and never leaves the EU. We apply data minimisation: all we require is a name, an email address and the absences themselves; optional HR-record fields (like a phone number for the personnel file) exist only if your admins choose to fill them, and no birth dates are ever stored. We encrypt integration tokens at rest, and we sign a DPA (Data Processing Agreement) with every customer. From the built-in GDPR panel an admin can export the whole organisation's data, or a single employee's, as JSON, and one-click anonymising erasure is available, attachments included: medical certificates are treated as special-category data under GDPR Article 9.

The path: create your organisation and pick your country, import the whole team by uploading a CSV file with name, email, department, role, allowance and start date, and the national public holidays for 45+ countries (regional calendars included) come pre-filled automatically. On the calendar side, approved leave syncs automatically to Google Calendar and Outlook/Microsoft 365 through a personal OAuth connection, and every person and department gets an iCal feed you can subscribe to from any calendar app, Apple Calendar included. Notifications arrive in-app, by email or on Slack, following each user's own preferences.

Yes, with no strings attached: cancel in two clicks from settings, with no notice period, no penalties and no exit fees. Before you go, you can export your entire data estate (people, requests, balances and the full approval history) as CSV and JSON, so you can migrate to another tool or simply archive it. After cancellation we permanently erase all your data within 30 days, as required by the GDPR, and we'll confirm the erasure on request. No lock-in: your data is yours, always.
